Chinese Icebreaker Armada Prepares To Greet Putin-Trump Alaska Summit

An historic new Security Council (SC) report circulating in the Kremlin today first noting President Donald Trump posted the announcement last evening: “The highly anticipated meeting between myself, as President of the United States of America, and President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, will take place next Friday, August 15, 2025, in the Great State of Alaska. Further details to follow…Thank you for your attention to this matter!”, says top Kremlin aide Yury Ushakov then revealed: “The US side has just announced that an agreement has been reached to organize a meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump on 15 August, Friday, in Alaska…Russia and the US are close neighbors, bordering each other…It seems quite logical that our delegation should simply fly across the Bering Strait, and that such an important and long-awaited summit between the leaders of the two countries should be held there” and added: “We expect that the two leaders next meeting after this will take place in Russia…President Trump has officially been sent an invitation”.
In the hours just prior to making his historic Alaska Summit announcement last evening, this report notes, President Trump warningly observed: “If not for my administration’s actions, the Ukraine conflict would have ended up being a world war…We’ve brought it down a long way, but when I first came in, I thought, Wow, this thing is really bad…Now the only question is: when is it going to be settled?…And it could be very soon”—President Trump then revealed that land swaps between Russia and Ukraine are under discussion, with him stating: “It’s complicated…There’ll be some swapping of territories to the betterment of both, but we’ll be talking about that either later or tomorrow”—and top Kremlin foreign policy expert Alexander Bobrov assessed: “Will Trump’s instincts and tactics deliver a diplomatic breakthrough?…The answer will come next week…But one thing is certain: whatever happens, this summit is bound to leave a mark on the annals of history”.
Swiftly following President Trump revealing that land swap talks are ongoing, this report continues, unelected Ukrainian Dictator Vladimir Zelensky raged: “Ukrainians will not give their land to the occupier…Any decisions made against us, any decisions made without Ukraine, are at the same time decisions against peace…They will bring nothing…These are dead decisions, they will never work”, then Axios revealed: “Senior officials from the U.S., Ukraine and several European countries plan to meet this weekend in the U.K. to try to reach common positions ahead of the planned meeting between President Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin”.
Fully supporting the historic Alaska Summit, this report details, is Chinese President Xi Jinping, who proclaimed: “China is pleased to see that Russia and the United States are maintaining contacts, improving mutual relations and promoting a political settlement of the Ukrainian crisis”—a proclamation joined with the news: “The U.S. military and Coast Guard are monitoring the simultaneous appearance of five Chinese icebreaking vessels in the Arctic region near Alaska…That unprecedented presence represents two and a half times the number of icebreakers currently capable of being operated in the entire Arctic region by the U.S. Coast Guard…Another is scheduled to be commissioned on Sunday and plans are underway to build dozens more”.
As the Chinese icebreaker armada joins the Russian world’s largest icebreaker fleet in the Arctic waters near Alaska, this report notes, top Kremlin aid Yury Ushakov proclaimed: “President Trump announced a historic summit in Alaska on 15 August with President Putin in Alaska…Perfect stage: the U.S. and Russia are just 2.4 miles apart between the Diomedes islands, divided by the International Date Line…One is “Yesterday” the other “Tomorrow”…Let us go from yesterday to tomorrow in peace…Born as Russian America—Orthodox roots, forts, fur trade—Alaska echoes those ties and makes the US an Arctic nation…Let’s partner on environment, infrastructure and energy in the Arctic and beyond”.
The echoes of ties between Russia and Alaska, this report continues, reverberated in 2007, when it saw Russia announcing a $65 billion project to build a tunnel to Alaska—these echoes reverberated again last year when it was revealed: “Experts and interested parties discussed the practicality of building a tunnel across the Bering Strait at a meeting in Washington, DC, on May 21, 2024, hosted by UPF and The Washington Times Foundation…Despite current conflicts between the United States and Russia, participants agreed that a transportation link across the strait that divides these two countries could ease tensions between them, and in the world”—and these echoes boomed across the world this past January when the New York Times factually observed: “Trump appears almost obsessed with President William McKinley, who occupied the White House from 1897 until his assassination in 1901”.
In 1867, this report concludes, the United States bought Alaska from Russia for $7.2 million—in 1900, it saw President William McKinley unveiling his plan to connect Alaska and Russia to create a global rail network he called “the future for humanity”, and the United States Congress approved funding for—but history now sadly records: “On 14 September 1901, President McKinley’s dream for “the future of humanity” — by the creation of his proposed US-Russian rail system that would have destroyed the power of the British Empire — was cut down by an assassins bullet — with his staunchly pro-British Vice President Theodore Roosevelt taking power and not only abandoning what could have been human history’s most uplifting and critical undertaking, and his too using the money allocated for it by the US Congress, to instead build the Panama Canal (beginning in 1904) thus assuring the century long world wars and global economic upheavals that has followed, even to this present day”.
