Damn the Torpedoes, Full Speed Ahead
The Republicans may have a chance of winning if they have the attitude, “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.”
Some cards have been dealt to them, which, if they will use them, they might be able to get rid of Obama AND Obamacare AND numerous other bills, vetoes, and Executive Orders.
Do we have anyone in DC that can say, “Damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead”? Or is the attitude, watch out for those torpodoes, particularly those slung by the media, they might hit us?
They are so concerned about not looking too radical, about not having any of those crazy conspiracy notions, they want to be polite and not step on anyone’s toes, not say anything too provocative, and stay within the party speech.
They did that to Sarah Palin and how did that work out for her, and for the nation?
We have the Libya situation, where if anyone would really get a hold of it, they could wrestle the administration down to the ground, like the ropers do with the bulls. Here are some roping events, some successful, some not, and some look a bit like what happens in Washington D.C. You watch and decide.
And then, of course, there is the birth certificate issue. That’s a check, a checkmate, a get out of jail card, and a way to get everything done at once, all rolled into one. Prove that Obama is a fraudulent imposter in office, and then everything he has signed is null and void. Why worry about repealing Obamacare, when it can be nullified instead? Why go the dubious route of an election when you can go a way that is steadfast and sure of getting the job done?
But all the well known conservative voices would rather trod the path of going to an election, which, even if they lose, they will have the satisfaction of following their traditions and not becoming too radical or aggressive against corruption in office. Who knows, maybe some deals were cut behind closed doors…if we don’t tell on you, you won’t tell on us. How many of those deals have Republicans made? If we don’t show your dirty laundry, then you won’t show ours? I mean, why are the Republicans without the courage to get the job done, when they have so many ways to get it done?
Don’t count on the election to solve the problems. There are so many other things that could happen that Obama can use that focusing on the election is having too narrow of a focus. What if all sorts of crises begin to happen and then Obama becomes a dictator-in-chief? These thoughts have been covered before on this blog, so I won’t repeat them here.
