Congratulations To All Who Fought LOST
Congratulations to all who fought LOST. Never feel that your calls, your faxes, your determination has no effect. It does. LOST was defeated.
For those of you who are aware of LOST, here is an email sent to me. At the end, GrasstopsUSA talks about the next battle, which comes on the 27th when Obama wants to get rid of our Second Amendment rights through the UN.
If you are not on the GrasstopsUSA list, click here to go to their site. GrasstopsUSA does a great work.
Here is the quoted email from GrasstopsUSA.
The Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST) Is Officially Sunk And The Credit Goes To You.
But this is no “victory letter,” because, quite frankly, that’s not our style.
We don’t gloat. We don’t stick out our tongues at the opposition and smirk. We don’t spike the football. We don’t do crazy little dances in the end zone.
And… we don’t drop everything to send out self-promoting congratulatory letters that imply how great we are and how you would be lost without us, because the plain and simple truth is that we would be lost without you.
No, we don’t gloat, but we’d be horribly remiss if we did not take the time to give credit where credit is due and express our thanks and our undying gratitude to you.
We don’t want to diminish the efforts of others, but make no mistake, it was your 40,000 Blast Faxes and countless phone calls that truly made the difference.
It was your efforts and your leadership, as citizen activists, that won this battle, and you have every cause to celebrate because the sinking of LOST is your victory; a victory bought by the sacrifice and commitment of those of you who sent Blast Faxes and made countless phone calls.
As you may have already heard, Senator Jim DeMint announced yesterday that Senators Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire, Rob Portman of Ohio and Johnny Isakson of Georgia put their opposition to LOST on record and stated without equivocation that they would vote against ratification; thereby giving DeMint the magic number of 34 Senators that was needed to stop this treaty.
For taking such a strong stand, Senator DeMint, has yet again earned your respect, gratitude and thanks. He has shown, time and again, that he is among a select few in Washington that listens to the people and attempts to implement the will of the people.
For the record, the 34 Senators who heeded the will of the American people are as follows: Senator Jon Kyl (R-AZ). Senator Jim Inhofe (R-OK), Senator Roy Blunt (R-MO), Senator Pat Roberts (R-KS), Senator David Vitter (R-LA), Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI), Senator John Cornyn (R-TX), Senator Jim Demint (R-SC), Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK), Senator John Boozman (R-AR), Senator Rand Paul (R-KY), Senator Jim Risch (R-ID), Senator Mike Lee (R-UT), Senator Jeff Sessions (R-AL), Senator Mike Crapo (R-ID), Senator Orrin Hatch (R-UT), Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL), Senator John Thune (R-SD), Senator Richard Burr (R-NC), Senator Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), Senator Dan Coats (R-IN), Senator John Hoeven (R-ND), Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS), Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL), Senator Jerry Moran (R-KS), Senator Dean Heller (R-NV), Senator Pat Toomey (R-PA), Senator Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Senator Mitch McConnell (R-KY), Senator Mike Johanns (R-NE), Senator Johnny Isakson (R-GA), Senator Rob Portman (R-OH) and Senator Kelly Ayotte (R-NH)
Savor this victory. You’ve earned the right.
Savor this victory because, every once in a while, a discouraged or disheartened GrassTopsUSA member calls us or sends us an email asking if it’s all really worth it… asking us whether our elected officials are even willing to listen to the demands of the American people anymore… asking us if their actions can still make a difference these days.
Admittedly, it is easy to be discouraged. The imperialistic usurpations of the Obama Regime and the lack of willingness on the part of our elected officials, in far too many instances, to stop these usurpations is a cause for distress.
But this victory, as with every victory you have won, is proof positive that you can make a difference… that we can be victorious and that we will only lose the fight to take America back if we relinquish the fight.
In closing, let me once again express our thanks and undying gratitude because, quite frankly, you’ve earned it.
