Is It Fair?
We hear the word “fair” used a lot. “Fair” is one of the favorite words of liberals…they want everyone to be treated “fair” or “fairly”. What is actually happening when that word is used?
It sounds good…fair…treat people fair…treat people fairly. It makes for a good sound bite, but what is actually being said?
Let’s take an example. “It’s not fair that the rich have all that money. They should give it to the poor.” Have you ever heard something similar?
The words sound like they are compassionate; it sounds like the person who says it cares about the poor? Maybe, but maybe not. The words “fair”, “fairly”, and “fairness” are actually are like a hatchet, cutting away at the foundations of western civilization.
For example, how did the rich get to be rich? Maybe they worked and went to school while other people partied on drugs and alcohol. Maybe they sacrificed to start businesses. Maybe they worked late at night while others were watching TV, videos, or texting on their cell phones. Maybe they spent their money taking extra classes or invested in business endeavors instead of spending that same money on new sound systems, big screen TVs, video games, or drugs and alcohol. Maybe they worked late at night.
The word “fair” has the ability to ignore some deeper questions. It is a good-sounding way to gloss over the history of why things are the way they are. Consider two roommates in college. If one worked hard for four years in college, then opened a business and built it and became rich, we can ask if it is “fair” if maybe his roommate who partied for four years and couldn’t get a job upon graduating should become a leech taking money through taxes from the “rich” roommate who worked and sacrificed to become “rich”.
The way the word “fair” is used, it overlooks the law of sowing and reaping…that people reap what they sow and if someone sows nothing, makes no effort, does not get educated, and reaps nothing, is it “fair” that people who are “rich” give to the lazy who don’t make an effort?
“Fair” also is a subtle way to put forth the idea that western civilization should be destroyed. Consider this thought. “They should be fair to the terrorist who killed some civilians.” Why? He took some lives. To be “fair” means to regress in time and give up values that helped establish western civilization. Western civilization was founded on the Judeo/Christian ethic, including the Ten Commandments, one of which is “Thou shalt do no murder”. Is it “fair” to expect citizens to follow laws based on the Judeo/Christian ethic? They helped develop and advance western civilization. Should those foundations now be destroyed? Is it “fair” to let liberals destroy that which has advanced western culture?
After Jesus’s death and resurrection, Christianity spread to Asia Minor and India, Europe, and America. With it, it brought Judeo/Christian values to jurisprudence…the value of human life, liberty, private property, and the freedom of thought. Numerous “witty inventions” were given to those in Christian lands. Some liberals, who prefer dictatorial, oligarchy type governments where they can put themselves in the pipeline and siphon off the wealth of others, lost when America was formed. “It is not fair” they say as they try to force the United States to revert to non-Christian values.
And again, this is not because of some super-spiritual religious conviction, it is because in a liberal environment it is possible for a small group of criminals, a criminal cabal, to siphon off wealth for their own pockets. Like many things some liberals do, they use certain words to bring about certain ends, the ends justify the means, the words don’t really matter, the issues don’t really matter, the end of being in charge and being part of the siphoning financial pipeline is what matters. Siphoning can happen more than one way. How many popular Hollywood liberals make money off of their devotees?
And those words “fair share”…have you ever heard those words? Those are based on the Communist maxim, “From each according to his ability to each according to his need.” It sounds so innocent…fair share…but it is actually communism.
So the next time you hear the words “fair”, ask yourself, how is this question of fairness being used to destroy civilization?
“Fair” is not an innocent word. It is a “wolf in sheep’s clothing” word. Perhaps we should stop being “fair” before it destroys us all.
