Grassfire Nation Response to SOTU

Grassfire Nation runs a series of petitions. Here is their response, with links to other responses.

Let’s run the numbers of the President’s State of the Union address from last night strictly on word usage:
Fair (8 times), Common (4), Responsibility (6), Share (8), Government (8), Tax (34).
As compared with:
Freedom (1), Liberty (1), Enterprise (0), Free Market (2), Capitalism (0)
What we heard from Obama was a “Common”ist Manifesto from the Class Warrior-In-Chief. Here’s the line which sums up Obama’s statist philosophy: “A return to the American values of fair play and shared responsibility will help us protect our people and our economy.”
Fair play? Fair Share? Sounds like an 8-year-old lobbying for a generous portion of the birthday cake. Yet this is the ground — class warfare — upon which Obama and the Left are making their case to the American people.
Where is the call for liberty, and freedom and free enterprise and free markets? It’s missing. Instead, Obama gives us his “blueprint” for more government intervention in even more aspects of our lives.

  1. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much approximately this, such as you wrote the ebook in it or something. I feel that you simply can do with a few percent to power the message house a bit, but instead of that, this is great blog. A great read. I will certainly be back.
