An Unknown Problem With The Work Welfare Requirement
There is an unknown problem with the work welfare requirement as it currently exists. It is not entirely unknown, those who operate in business and are involved with hiring and firing probably have a clue that this exists, but the media and general public probably does not realize this.
With the current work welfare requirement, as long as people are looking for work, they can get on welfare. They have a requirement to get so many interviews or business cards or applications. The problem is, some of those people who are looking for jobs to fulfill the work welfare requirement, never really intend on working anyway.
There are those who interview, and even begin to start work at a place of employment, with the intention of calling in often and getting fired. That way, they can continue on welfare. This is a tremendous burden in the workplace on those who are required to get the work done and have to step in for these absentee employees. It is also a tremendous burden and expense upon those who are involved in hiring and firing.
Those who are “on the ground”, actually involved with business, understand that there is an unknown problem with the work welfare requirement, that observers to the process may not realize.
