Judicial Watch
Judicial Watch exposes corruption in Washington, D.C., and also litigates against it.
Recently, it explained how a provision in the “fiscal cliff” legislation allows donations to its work from IRAs, and those donations, if made before January 31, 2012, will be considered retroactive to 2012. Quote:
T’S TRUE! Buried in the recently passed “fiscal cliff” legislation was a provision that renewed the opportunity for persons 70 1/2 or older to donate to Judicial Watch (and other chartitable non-profits) directly through their traditional or Roth IRA. Not only does the law allow you to donate to Judicial Watch in this way for 2013, but if you act before January 31, 2013, you can donate retroactively for 2012!
If you believe in Judicial Watch‘s work and want to donate to them, as your support helps them legally fight corruption, now is a good time to do it (before January 31, 2013).
