What Is The Fairness Doctrine?
What is the Fairness Doctrine? The Fairness Doctrine requires broadcasters to give equal time to opposing views.
That means that conservative talk shows would have to give equal time to liberals to speak. I’ve never read about liberals having to give conservatives equal time to speak, and while the Fairness Doctrine would imply that, I’ve just never read or heard of it happening. It seems that it is slanted against the conservatives.
I guess that is because there are far more conservative talk show hosts that are successful, than liberal ones, so this is the only way the liberals can get a voice out there, by demanding equal time on successful conservative shows. I guess if this coup succeeds, as Obama just pointed out, it has to be due to the efforts of somebody else, or piggybacking on the efforts of somebody else.
The Fairness Doctrine was brought to an end under Ronald Reagan. But if Obama is re-elected, he wants to resurrect it.
We don’t need liberals trying to piggyback to success through the popularity of conservative talk shows. Their liberal propaganda is unpalatable, so they know if they are going to be heard, they need to sneak and steal their way in through someone else’s efforts. Oppose the resurrection of the Fairness Doctrine.
Again, if you really want to make sure that Obama is not there to try to bring this back, then remove him by legal means due to the evidence brought forth by Sheriff Joe Arpaio and others. The evidence is there. Will Congress do something about it? To do nothing, or say nothing, by default, is to give the other side a win.
No football game is won by passivity and complacence, how much more is that true in the political arena.
