The Mouse

As I worked at my computer I began to notice a mouse running along the baseboard.

Now usually mice will stay in hiding until they think you don’t care.  Then they get bold and begin to show themselves.

Well, I was busy and didn’t set a trap.  Then I noticed him again.  Then I noticed him in the kitchen and decided enough was enough.

I set a trap and that was the end of it.

There is a parallel with our elected and appointed officials.  They think we don’t care.  They are no longer in hiding, they are brazen.

One gets subpoenaed…and doesn’t respond.  He gets voted in contempt of Congress and it doesn’t matter, at least to him it doesn’t.  Another has contrived personal documents and no one calls him on it.  Another has difficulty figuring out how to pay taxes.  Another gropes grandmas and little children.  One Supreme Court Justice talks trash about the Constitution.  Another Supreme Court Justice doesn’t follow it.  Elected officials don’t read their job descriptions.  They don’t uphold the Constitution.

There is a point, as with the mouse scurrying across the room, brazenly announcing his presence and that he doesn’t intend to leave the premises without being forced to do so, that We The People must decide that enough is enough.

There are those in Syria who are exhibiting more awareness of that fact than Americans are.  When they are commanded to kill their own, they say “No”, and defect.  When will Americans draw a line in the sand?

We do have a Congress that could impeach the President.  We could find legal ways to remove those who will not follow their job descriptions.

People extremely underestimated the importance of what Newt Gingrich was saying in that if judges do not follow the Constitution and their duly appointed duties, that they need to be removed as Jefferson did with judges in his time.  People so underestimated and undervalued the importance of what he said.  Now look and see what the judges are doing and does anyone really believe that Obama’s administration won’t try to “influence” a judge that might have charge over any case that Eric Holder is involved in?

It’s time to get fed up, and do something.

I got fed up with seeing that mouse run around uninvited and when I decided to do something, it didn’t take very long for things to change.

How long will it take for enough of Congress and the American people to rouse from their sleep, their stupor, their apathy, and their fear, and to demand change and to do it?
