Romans 13

I am posting links to three different articles on Romans 13. The first two are a bit easier to study. The third is very scholarly, with historical discussions that go back to the time of the Revolutionary War and earlier; the article includes numerous quotes.

The reason I am posting these is because the time is coming, unless it is somehow averted, that there will be troops in the streets, whether US, foreign, UN, or a combination. They will be used to help enforce martial law. This may happen prior to the election, in an attempt to call off the election, in an attempt to keep Barack Obama in power. Alternate means to keep Obama in power may be voter fraud. Of course, he and his team is working hard to get as many people on welfare as possible, to literally “buy the votes” with food stamps (at the taxpayers’ expense).  Or, if he doesn’t need to pull out the troops before the election, to  help stay in office, they may be there later for the “terrorists”, which if you view this video, you will find probably includes you.

Churches are bound by their 501c(3) rating, and so cannot freely speak about government. Clergy in the American Revolution were not so bound…they were free to speak out against the tyranny they were experiencing. Today, it must be non-clergical people who speak out, as the church will not in many cases.

In WWII, as this article points out, it was the churches that helped bring Hitler to power.

An extremely important point in this whole discussion is the correct interpretation of Romans 13.  Quote:

So verse one should read: Let every soul be subject unto the higher liberty. For there is no liberty but of God: the liberties that be are ordained of God. And verse two: Whosoever therefore resisteth the liberty, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation. Liberty is from God and God alone.

Finally, for an indepth discussion of Romans 13, here is an extremely extensive article with the thinking of the Founding Fathers and others on this important topic.  Read more here.
